Frequently Asked Questions

What happens in the event of death?

In the event of the death of a Member, Spreds must be informed without delay by the heirs and/or beneficiaries. As soon as Spreds is informed of the death of a Member, Spreds will transform the deceased Member's Account into an Indivis Account in the name of all heirs and/or beneficiaries. Pending receipt of all valid documents to this effect (certificate of inheritance drawn up by the receiver of the inheritance tax office competent for the filing of the deceased's declaration of inheritance, or certificate or deed of inheritance drawn up by a notary), Spreds is entitled to temporarily block the Account. Spreds shall not be obliged to verify the validity of the documents received. Refunds relating to Notes held on the Indivis Account will then be released in favour of the heirs and/or beneficiaries according to their instructions. In order to do so, the heirs/beneficiaries will have to become official Members of the platform.

Any communication relating to the Indivis Account will be sent to the e-mail addresses provided by the heirs and/or beneficiaries.
