This complex hosts the kindergarten classes of the school La Farandole, the specialized primary education institution type 1 and 8 Les Carrefours, and, in part, the classes of the Jean Absil Music Academy.

The "Les Marronniers - Les Carrefours" project is fully aligned with the municipal policy of carbon neutrality, which is based in particular on the transformation or construction of exemplary and sustainable public facilities.

The renovation of the school roofs
The project involves the renovation and complete insulation of the zinc roofs using 22 cm PIR (currently uninsulated), repainting of the cornices, installation of safety and access equipment.
The structure is also concerned with the installation of photovoltaic panels. The production of these panels will be shared, in the long run, with other nearby municipal buildings such as the Meurice nursery or the Hap site.

- Renovation and improvement of the energy performance of the "Les Marronniers/Les Carrefours" school building
- Continuation of the municipality’s low-carbon policy, by creating a sustainable and more energy-efficient whole
Timeline
The contract award is scheduled for the beginning of July. The works are planned for the end of 2025.
Estimated costs and sources of financing
The amount of the works is €437,000 incl. VAT, to be financed through a crowdlending fundraising campaign. The requested financing covers the roofing-related works, while the photovoltaic panels are covered by another type of financing.
