Joris Jansen

Co-founder

Joris Jansen is a bio-engineer with a passion for the fascinating world of bacteria. His fascination began during his master’s thesis, where he studied the microbial composition of indoor environments. There, he discovered an alarming link between the rise in allergies and our obsession with sterilising everything around us.

As a creative thinker with a nose for innovation, Joris is always looking for ways to improve — or disrupt — existing systems. At YOKUU, he is the brain behind sales strategy, product development, and production. Always curious, always ready to challenge the status quo — and always with a smile 😍.

Janthe De Nil

Co-founder

Janthe De Nil earned her master’s in Finance from KU Leuven and began her career at McKinsey & Company as a business analyst. Over the next seven years, she rose to Junior Partner, specialising in e-commerce and logistics. In early 2022, she left the consultancy world to chart her own path as co-founder of YOKUU.

A structured thinker and natural problem solver, Janthe is the Yin to Joris’ Yang. At YOKUU, she leads Finance, HR, Operations, and Marketing — keeping everything running smoothly, with an eye for both detail and long-term vision.

Gerwin Boer joined YOKUU in 2024 as Sales Director, bringing together entrepreneurship and people-focused leadership. A self-proclaimed “Probiotic Super-Spreader,” he’s building a world where good bacteria do their job everywhere.

He brings relevant experience from his time at Yarrah Organic Petfood, where he was responsible for sales in the Nordics, BeNe, and France — with a focus on sustainable growth and strong retail relationships.

At YOKUU, he leads the sales team and drives expansion, from pitch to shelf. His motto: “Spreading the Good Guys, One Store at a Time.”
