The municipality of Etterbeek is launching a participatory financing campaign (crowdlending) to replace the window frames of the historic building of the Ernest Richard Institute, located at Place Saint-Pierre.

The project involves replacing 53 elements with a set of frames that meet the latest EPB standards. The new wooden frames feature improved air and water tightness, as well as enhanced mechanical strength. The double-glazing provides enhanced, high-performance thermal insulation.

The project is fully aligned with the municipal policy of carbon neutrality, which is based in particular on the transformation or construction of exemplary and sustainable public facilities.

Join us in making local projects in favor of the climate and with strong social impact come true.

The replacement of the window frames of the historic building of the Ernest Richard Institute

The “Ernest Richard Institute” project consists of replacing the single-glazed wooden frames on the historic façade of the school facing Place Saint-Pierre, Avenue de la Chasse and Rue Louis Hap – which cause significant energy losses – with wooden frames and high-performance glazing. The replacement is carried out with identical materials and window composition, and allows, beyond the energy improvement of the building, for better acoustics.
