A need in any workplace
Every company that runs machines, handles chemicals or sends people onto a site has to train them to work safely. It's required by law, and insurers and clients expect it too.
And yet it still goes wrong far too often. In 2024, 2,78 million people in the EU had an accident at work that kept them home for at least 4 days. 3 367 people didn't come home at all. Many of these accidents can be prevented with better training, and that's what we work on every day.
Most safety training is still slides, videos and a quiz at the end. Afterwards, nobody can say who is actually ready for the job. We want every worker to practice the job in a safe space before it counts.
Where we start
In Europe, 107 000 companies with 50 or more employees work in the sectors where this matters most. Together they employ around 26 million people.
We start close to home. Belgium and the Netherlands alone have 5 900 of these companies, and that's where we already work with clients like Unilin, Actemium and ILVO. From there, we grow across Europe, where factories run on the same kind of machines and the same safety rules.
Our clients help us get there. Companies like Unilin and Actemium have sites all over Europe. Once a scenario works at one site, rolling it out to the next is a small step for them, and it takes Dexr into new countries together with a client who already trusts us.
How we grow
Most clients start with an assessment and one tailored module, a first contract of around
€10 000. Once they see their own results, they add training modules, roll out to more sites and come back for a yearly re-test. Across our client base, spending grows by about 20% every year, after churn.

With 50 new clients in 2027, growing to 150 a year by 2031, that adds up to around 440 clients and €8 million a year. That's less than half a percent of the companies in our segment in Europe, which leaves plenty of room to grow.
Competitive landscape
Companies that want better safety training have five options today. Each one solves part of the problem.
- Off-the-shelf spatial training, like Immersive Factory, Ludus and Pixaera, offers a library of ready-made hazard and safety scenarios. It's quick to start with, but it doesn't look like the client's own floor, and custom work takes time and budget.
- Spatial authoring platforms, like Uptale, Warp VR and SynergyXR, let companies build immersive training themselves. They're strong at building content, but there's no built-in method for good training design, and every scenario is measured in its own way. Results are hard to compare across sites or companies.
- E-learning platforms, like Cornerstone, 360Learning and SafetyCulture, reach every employee at a low cost. They track who finished a module, not who can do the task. Cornerstone's purchase of VR company Talespin shows the big players are moving toward practice-based training too.
- AI video tools, like Synthesia, turn a procedure into a video in minutes. Fast, but people are still watching, not doing.
- 360° media, such as filmed tours of a real site, show the actual workplace. But people can only look around. They can't act, make choices or make mistakes.
Dexr combines the strengths of each, in one platform. A trainer can build a training scenario in minutes using our platform. When it has to match a specific site, users can also generate 3D models of the client's own floor or request models from us. It runs in VR, in the browser and on mobile. Every scenario is built on LEAP, our methodology that combines instructional design with game design, so it doesn't just look good, it actually builds a skill. It starts with an assessment that shows what a team can already do, and every scenario scores the same core skills. That way, a company can compare teams, sites and training, and see how it stacks up against others. That benchmark grows with every client. The sooner we scale, the harder it is to catch up.
