High-level overview of the business plan

YOKUU’s financial plan aims to:

  • reach >€4M in revenue in 2025, approximately break-even
  • reach €10M in revenue in 2026, with a 3.5% margin
  • reach €16M in revenue by 2028, with a 30% EBITDA margin

Our growth will come from our existing channels:
  1. our own website (B2C)
  2. a network of physical retail points
  3. B2B partnerships
  4. Marketplace platforms

With this, we want to reach the following bottom-line:

From microbial start-up to European category leader

In just 3 years, YOKUU has built a strong foundation: proven technology, a loyal customer base, and a unique market position.

Despite rapid growth in recent months, our average cash burn YTD has remained modest at €5k per month.

We are now raising €1 million to fund targeted growth, with €500,000 already committed outside of Spreds.

This capital will be allocated as follows:

  • €500k for marketing (Meta, Google, influencers, podcasts – in the Netherlands & the UK)
  • €200k for the marketing team (hiring a Head of Growth + internal designer in H2 2025)
  • €200k for the sales team (expanding into new markets, sales operations)
  • €100k for product development (testing and launching new innovations)

With a target of €1M, we’ll have a runway of 12 to 18 months, allowing us to make the growth leap needed to attract a professional investor — and to then repeat what we’ve learned in other markets, with greater resources.

As the market for probiotic and sustainable cleaning products continues to grow, we see multiple potential exit paths:
  • Acquisition by a strategic player — In recent years, large FMCG companies like Unilever, Reckitt, and SC Johnson have acquired fast-growing eco brands at 3–6x revenue (e.g., Unilever’s recent acquisition of Wild, reportedly at a 5x multiple).
With YOKUU’s growth trajectory, we aim to position ourselves as a strong acquisition candidate within 3 to 5 years.
  • Secondary sale of shares in a future funding round — Early investors may exit via a later funding round, with strategic players or funds acquiring their shares.
  • Potential IPO — If YOKUU continues on its current growth path, a public offering could offer additional potential for long-term investors.

YOKUU is ready to redefine cleaning in Europe.
We’re not building hype.

We’re building a category.
