A whole world to teach: from 6 million to 3.6 billion athletes

Beyond Sports sits at the intersection of two fast-growing markets: digital sports coaching and training technology ($4.5B+ globally, >14% annual growth) and mobile EdTech and microlearning.

The rapid traction of our BJJ launch proves that both athletes and parents are ready for hybrid 3D sports education. Because 65% or more of the 3D platform is reusable for each new sport, Beyond Sports scales step by step into a global market:

  1. Step 1 - Brazilian jiu-jitsu (Beyond the Mat, live now - 6 million athletes): The ideal starting market: a technically demanding sport with a tight-knit community, where the company has proven its 3D learning method, low acquisition cost (€0.77 to €0.80), and high conversion (35% from trial to paid) in live operation.
  2. Step 2 - Judo (Q2 2027 launch - 40 million athletes): Our first major youth sport. With Olympic medallist Gella Vandecaveye on board and active discussions with the International Judo Federation (IJF), the European Judo Union (EJU), and Judo Vlaanderen, the company enters a market nearly seven times larger than BJJ in Q2 2027.
  3. Step 3 - Football (Beyond the Pitch, 2028 launch - 265 million players): The largest sport in the world. With Beyond the Pitch, young football players learn game intelligence, positioning, and smart decision-making on the pitch through interactive 3D match situations.
  4. Step 4 - Over 40 sports under Beyond Sports (3.6 billion athletes worldwide): Beyond BJJ, judo, and football lies a global market of 3.6 billion athletes across more than 40 sports, including volleyball (500M), basketball (450M), badminton (300M), table tennis (300M), skiing (150M), golf (108M), tennis (106M), karate (100M), taekwondo (80M), gymnastics (50M), padel (35M), and field hockey (34.5M).

Business model: free for every child, premium for parents and adults

We use an accessible freemium model so every young athlete and every club can start right away, while generating revenue from both free and paying users:

  • Always free for every child: daily 3D lessons are free to access for every athlete, supported by non-intrusive ads and in-app Tapstars.
  • Premium subscription (paid by the parent or adult practitioner): ad-free, unlimited access to the full learning path for €2.99 per month today and €4.99 per month from 2027. That accessible price point drives our 35% trial-to-paid conversion rate.
  • Free for coaches and clubs: coaches and clubs use the homework tool completely free of charge. That lets us grow today through paid social campaigns, and even faster tomorrow through clubs and sports federations inviting their members onto the app at no cost.

Minimal direct competition

Existing alternatives such as standalone 2D video courses (€100 to €300 each on BJJ Fanatics or Judo Fanatics), subscriptions aimed at advanced adults (€25 to €35 per month), or unstructured clips on YouTube and TikTok are not built for children and beginners. Beyond the Mat is the only platform combining interactive 360° 3D lessons, microlearning, gamification, and free club tools across all European languages.
